Adult bed bugs are usually reddish/brown in color and have a flattened appearance. They look a lot like an apple seed in size and appearance. The newly hatched ones look like adults, except they do not have any color to them. As they mature, they will start to get their reddish/brown color. An adult can lay up to five eggs each day. It is nearly impossible for the human eye to see them as they resemble dust. Despite it all, you should not have to live or sleep in the same home with these bugs. These pests are usually less than an inch in length and as adults, they can fill up on human blood in less than fifteen minutes. After these pests have feasted on blood, they don’t really look like themselves. In fact, when they are engorged with blood, many people think they are a different insect.
When the eggs are laid by the adult, it will take up to ten days for them to hatch. Once they have hatched, they will need to have at least five large blood feeding before they grow into adult size.
They are going to shed their exoskeleton between the feedings. Once they have matured, they will start laying eggs. As you see, if you are not careful, you could easily become infested with these pests.

This didn’t help much. We are cleanly people and bath every night before bed, I vaccum my bed once a week and change my sheets twice a week. Yet we still got bed bugs.
Hey, best way to kill them without using chemicals etc.. is to get a steamer, and slowly steam over everything. raise it up a bit so you dont blow the bugs away.. it will kill the bugs and the eggs.
You want target the main areas, lil gaps/seams on the bed etc.. start with the main infested area and slowly work around the house or anywhere you suspect.
Repeat this over a course and monitor your progress.. see how effective it is, if they keep coming back in a specific room or area then just be more thorough with it.. your targeting the source! also wash/dry clean as much as you can in really high temp. i have been doing this so far for a week (since the discovery) and its working really well. hope you find this useful if you still got problems, let me know how it goes if you try it!
Bed bugs are travelers – you can get them from staying at hotels, cruise ships, buying or acquiring used mattresses, some cases even used clothing, buying furniture at garage sales. Bed bugs don’t care if you are clean or dirty, they just want to feed on warm blood, and hide where ever they can. Did that help any?
Howtorid is correct! Bed Bugs don’t choose between races, economics or even locations. Just because they are called bed bugs, don’t mean that’s the only location you will find them. They have been found in department stores, theaters, school, etc…
And they can go for long periods of time with out feeding, until they find a new host or opportunity.
Washing & Drying (on high for at least 20 min) will kill any bed bugs that are on the clothes, bedding, etc. But the problem is that all the bugs will not be on the bedding… they might be on the headboard, in the electrical outlet, behind the baseboard, etc. So you may have killed some, just not all. But you could also be spreading them too. (when you take you bedding/laundry from one room to another ~ they can drop off). The best way is to call a professional.
If you dry all you sheets, blankets, clothes, pillow cases, pillows ,etc. they will die if they are hidden in those things. But you will need to spray anything else that cant be dried on very high heat.
Maybe if you actually mentioned some remedies…
I agree! I have them and I know I got them from buying used furniture!! It sucks!! I got rid of everything! I have no problem starting fresh!
